Feds conducting investigation at downtown business

CINCINNATI (CINCINNATII ENQUIRER/FOX19) - A downtown business is under federal investigation, according to authorities.
DEA and IRS agents were seen Thursday at Tri-State Jewelers in the 600 block of Race Street.
They were boxing up computers and other items inside the store.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office confirms federal agents were “conducting court-authorized law enforcement activity” at the store.
According to our media partners at the Cincinnati Enquirer, officials said the raid was part of a “significant” drug trafficking investigation.
DEA spokesman Brian McNeal told the Enquirer that the ongoing investigation relates to cocaine and fentanyl trafficking.
Several arrests have been made in connection with the investigation, officials said.
No other details are available.
