CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A Cincinnati man pleaded guilty to multiple charges in connection with the death of a newborn baby, according to Hamilton County Court records.

The records show that on Nov. 13, Khamani Calvin-Bridges, 19, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and child endangering.

Hamilton County Court Judge Patrick Dinkelacker sentenced Calvin-Bridges to 12 years in prison.

On Sept. 17, 2022, first responders found 1-month-old Ukhani Bridges unresponsive in a home on Elberon Avenue, according to a news release from the Cincinnati Police Department.

The newborn was taken from the East Price Hill home to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and died on Oct. 27, 2022.

Calvin-Bridges, who was 17 at the time, was arrested and charged with felonious assault that same day after the baby died, police say.
