Bomb squad responds after military ammo dropped off at West Chester fire station

WEST CHESTER TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) - The Butler County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad is investigating after military ammunition was dropped off at a fire station.
The bomb squad responded Monday to West Chester Fire Station 71 on Cincinnati Dayton Road about “a citizen that had dropped off a bag with two military projectiles in it,” Sheriff Richard Jones said in a social media post.
The bomb squad has both 40mm projectiles “for further assessment and disposal,” he said.
One appears to be from the United States, and the other from France, according to the sheriff’s office.
